Avelios builds the platform
to run the modern hospital
Avelios is developing a state-of-the-art hospital information system that connects clinical, administrative and operational processes on a shared technological foundation.
Hospital IT needs to be rethought.
Instead of extending outdated legacy systems, we built a new platform. From the ground up.

When most hospital software was built, it was built to store records — one department, one silo, one interface at a time. We started from the opposite premise: that a hospital is one connected system, and its software should be too.
So we built the hard way. Over 30 modular microservices, each independently deployable, capturing every action as structured data at the source — Spring and Rust over gRPC, into PostgreSQL. Not a database with screens bolted on, but a platform where the workflow a clinician runs and the data a researcher needs are the same thing, generated automatically.
We built it to be open, not closed. It speaks HL7, FHIR, and DICOM, connects to the Telematik-Infrastruktur, and extends through an App Store — so it fits into the hospital you already run instead of forcing a rebuild. And we built it to be trusted: independently certified, encrypted end to end, and cloud-native, so it scales and stays current without weighing down your IT team.
Today that platform runs live, in production, carrying real care. For the next decade, the question isn't whether the system can hold the load. It's what you build on top of it.
How we reimagine hospital IT.
We build for the people at the point of care, and the patients behind every record. If a decision does not ultimately make care safer, clearer, or more humane, it is not the right one. Clinical reality leads; the technology follows.
Trust begins with architecture. Anyone developing software for hospitals must consider security, data protection and regulatory requirements from day one, and continue to develop them rigorously. That's why they've been part of our system design from the start.
Foundations, not shortcuts. We build architecture that can grow with the demands of hospitals. Modular services, open interfaces and structured data create the basis for continuous development, rather than compromises later on.
Build the software
hospitals depend on.
Our motivated and international team is growing dynamically. We have exciting open positions in many areas for which we are looking for employees who have the desire to fundamentally improve patient treatment with innovative software as an important part of Avelios.
